Minarium Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026-07-23

Effective Date: July 1, 2025

Minarium ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy and personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your information when you access or use Minarium.com and our related services ("Services").

1. Information We Collect

a. Information You Provide Directly:

  • Account Information: Name, email, username, password, payment details
  • Creator Data: Bio, storefront details, social media links, and digital models
  • Purchase & Transaction Data: Purchases, sales, royalties, payment history
  • Uploaded Content: Models, images, and metadata
  • Print Bidding Info: Shipping address, material preferences, bid history
  • Vault Content: The compressed archives (ZIP, RAR, or 7Z files) you store in the Vault
  • Vault Metadata: Archive file names, sizes, formats, upload dates, checksums (used to detect duplicate uploads within your own account only), how you organize your library, and your storage and download usage
  • Subscription & Billing Data: Your Vault plan tier, billing history, account credits, and usage of storage and download limits. Stripe processes payments; we receive only limited billing details such as card brand, last four digits, and transaction status, never your full card number

b. Information Collected Automatically:

  • Usage Data: Search queries, pages viewed, downloads, clickstreams
  • Device Data: IP address, device identifiers, browser type, OS
  • Cookies & Similar Technologies: For essential services, analytics, and ads

2. How We Use Your Data

We process your data to:

  • Provide, operate, and improve our Services
  • Facilitate purchases, print bids, and payments
  • Provide and manage Vault storage, enforce storage and download limits, detect duplicate uploads within your account, and build metadata-based features and dashboards for you (such as collection size, upload counts, and file types)
  • Enable smart search and model recommendations
  • Protect against fraud and piracy
  • Provide customer service and support
  • Send transactional and marketing communications (opt-out anytime)
  • Comply with legal obligations

3. Legal Bases for Processing (GDPR)

For users in the European Economic Area (EEA) and the UK, we process personal data under:

  • Contractual Necessity: To provide our Services
  • Legitimate Interests: To improve Services and prevent fraud
  • Consent: For optional marketing and certain cookies
  • Legal Obligation: Compliance with tax, legal, or regulatory requirements

For the Vault: storing and delivering your files is based on contractual necessity; security scanning and abuse prevention are based on our legitimate interests; and optional features may rely on your consent where the law requires it.

4. Files You Store in the Vault

Your Vault files are private by default. We do not inspect the contents of your archives, except through automated security scanning. Automated scans check uploads for malware, viruses, executable files, and abuse prevention, and may quarantine or remove files that fail scanning. These scans do not involve a person reviewing your files, and we do not review your files for product or marketing purposes.

A person at Minarium may access the contents of your files only in four cases: (a) customer support you request, where access is needed to help you; (b) valid legal requests; (c) copyright investigations; or (d) investigations of suspected violations of our Terms of Service. Human access is limited to what is necessary for that purpose and is logged.

We process metadata (such as archive names, sizes, formats, dates, and checksums) separately from archive contents, to operate the service and to build features and dashboards for you, such as collection size, storage usage, upload counts, and file types. Metadata is used to build features for you alone. We do not open or analyze your archives to identify the models inside them. Duplicate detection compares checksums only within your own account, never across users.

This is a permanent commitment: Minarium will never use your Vault files as AI training data. AI features may only help organize or search your own Vault, for you.

Files you delete yourself remain recoverable for 7 days and are then permanently deleted. If you close your account, your files remain available during a 30-day export window; if you reopen your account during that window and your files still exist, your Vault is restored. When the export window ends, your files are queued for permanent deletion and are removed from our active systems and backups within 30 days after the window closes, so no later than 60 days after account closure. After deletion, we may retain limited records (such as billing records and access logs) where the law requires it.

5. Sharing & Disclosure

We may share your data with:

  • Service Providers: Payments (Stripe, PayPal), hosting, analytics
  • Other Users: Public profiles, store pages, or transaction confirmations
  • Legal Entities: To comply with laws or enforce terms
  • Advertisers: Aggregate or anonymized data only, unless you engage with ads.

6. Cookies & Advertising

Minarium uses cookies for:

  • Core functionality (required)
  • Analytics (optional, where required by law)
  • Advertising (with consent in EEA/UK)

You can manage cookies in your browser or via our cookie consent tool (for GDPR/EEA).

7. Data Retention

We retain personal data only as long as necessary to:

  • Provide Services
  • Comply with legal/regulatory obligations
  • Resolve disputes or enforce agreements

Vault files follow the deletion schedule described above: files you delete are recoverable for 7 days, then permanently deleted. After account closure, there is a 30-day export window, then permanent deletion from active systems and backups within 30 days after the window closes (no later than 60 days after closure).
